“Found Money – Cost containment strategies for utility and telecom costs”
Presented by Emmett M. Lien III, VP of Business Development, UtiliTech, Inc.

During these difficult economic times companies are looking for ways to increase productivity and revenues, while reducing and closely managing costs. Did you know chances are you’re paying too much for energy and telecom services? If you’re like most companies, you probably already suspect as much but don’t know exactly where or how you’re being overcharged…and lack the time, resources and expertise to find out. With providers, terms, and regulations constantly changing – it’s getting more and more difficult to compare prices on products or services. And who can keep up with fluctuating energy sources, pricing and regulations to know if you’re really getting the best value?

About the presenter:
Emmett M. Lien III, Vice President of Business Development for UtiliTech, has been in the technology field for over 30 years. Emmett functioned as the Operations Manager for BCSC in the early 1980's. From 1984 to 1989, Emmett served as CIO and Operations Manager for Z&H Uniforms, a specialty retailer. In 1989, Emmett assumed the role of Director of Marketing for Entre Computer and later was promoted to a VP position where he was responsible for all facets of operations. Entre Computer grew from $0 to $31 million in annual revenues within 5 years and was acquired by AmeriData Technologies and subsequently acquired by GE Capital, where Emmett functioned as the General Manager. In 1998 the Reading, Pa. Location was named the most profitable branch of GE Capital ITS in the world. In 2000 Emmett co-founded WorldNet Technology Consultants Inc., a firm specializing in Information Consulting and Security services. WorldNet was named to the Inc. 500 list of fastest growing privately held companies in 2003, achieving the rank of #254. In 2005 WorldNet merged with Core BTS, and Emmett assumed the role of EVP of the Pennsylvania region of Core. In 2008 Emmett joined UtiliTech, Inc., a Utility and Telecommunications consulting organization. UtiliTech specializes in developing and implementing cost containment strategies for businesses and also assists in the procurement of energy and telecommunication services.

Why “Customer Relationship Management” is critical to your business
Presented by Chris Farias, President, EBS Inc.

The Customer is the reason why we are in business and why we can put food on our tables and gas in the tank. We all know how much easier and cheaper it is to get new business from an existing customer than it is from a new prospect. However, few companies have made significant strides in nurturing and protecting this relationship with the customer as an extremely valuable ASSET and as a source of new business. This presentation will focus on the importance of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) in ANY business. The strides that have been made in information technology over the last 10 years have put CRM well within the reach of small and medium sized businesses. Even a 1 person company can achieve QUANTUM increases in productivity with CRM!

About the presenters:
Chris Farias has been involved in information solutions for Sales and Marketing since 1984. He has been involved in the design, creation, and sales of such solutions for the mainframe, midrange and PC platforms with companies like Control Data, Sterling Software, and his own business, EBS Inc. He has had hands on experience with a variety of implementations, and has a keen sense of business needs in the application of technology solutions for Sales. Chris has a degree in engineering and a MBA in Marketing and Information Technology.
